Chinese Higher Education Development Network Annual Conference 2015 Soon to Open

The 2nd CHED Annual Conference is to be held from October 16th to 18th, 2015 in Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Beijing, China. As one of the sponsoring organizations of CHED, the Center for Faulty Development of BIT, ranked as a national exemplary center for teachers’ development, will host CHED 2015. CFD will invite famous scholars and experts from all over the world to make keynote speeches in the plenary session and it will also organize a series of activities including seminars, workshops, round-table meetings, co-presentations, teacher-student conversations, teaching research presentations, poster session presentations, so as to promote deep and multi-theme exchanges in various forms among attendees. It’s estimated there will be an attendance of about 500 comprised of university teachers, staff of teachers’ development, invited speakers and relevant others.


The overall conference theme is “Teaching Paradigm Reform: from Teacher-centered to Student-centered”. Specific topics include:

        Student-centered teaching paradigm reform
        Exploration of theory and practice in engineering education reform 
        Curriculum design of suzhi education and general education
        Teachers’ career development and assessment mechanism  
        Ideas and practices of MOOCs 
        Building and developing of teachers’ development centers


Chinese Higher Education Development Network (CHED) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2013 by the joint forces of centers for teaching and learning development of 10+ top-level higher education institutions covering four districts of cross-strait. CHED works to advance teaching and learning in Chinese higher education by promoting teachers’ development as well as to build a communicating platform that facilitates cooperation and mutual help among organizations and staff devoted to teachers’ development.
